Fun Runs in Paris

Paris runs happen in three main areas: Bois de Boulogne (845 hectares, accessible via Métro Line 1 or 9), along the Seine riverside paths, and around Trocadéro. Summer events start before 9am—expect 8am registration for a 9am start when temperatures climb. After crossing the finish line, you’ll see runners in bibs at nearby cafés ordering espresso and pain au chocolat—a post-run tradition. The Métro opens early enough for morning events, and Vélib’ bike stations sit near most park entrances. If you’re visiting for a run, check individual event pages for specific station names and walking directions from the nearest stop.

Getting around: RATP operates the Métro and buses. Vélib’ bike-sharing has stations near most parks.
